This course is a general orientation to The Basics Movement, a collective effort to make The Basics Principles an everyday caregiving lifestyle across whole communities. After completing this course, participants will be familiar with:

- The history and vision of The Basics Movement
- The scientific and social justice rationales for the work
- The Basics Strategy for building community capacity to engage parents and caregivers
- The Five Basics Principles for early childhood caregiving and why they matter
- Core implementation tools and resources
